a paulscott : I've actually read the book about her. Although she was 16 when the movie was made the fact she was married, under Texas law at the time, meant she was of the age of consent. She said there was only one movie although there are rumors she was in two others. If you ever get to read her life story it's quite interesting.

a paulscott : From the sources I've seen she was actually married and 16 when this film, one of three she appeared in, was made. I believe this one was actually in the very late 1940's. I should add that under Texas law at that time since she was married, Candy was considered at the age of consent. To say she had an interesting history would be an understatement.
